Carolyn Sue Mooney
(April 25, 1943 - October 8, 2011)
MOONEY (Donovan) Carolyn "Sue" Mooney, beloved mother and grandmother and best friend to many, peacefully died on Saturday, October 8 at OSU's Ross Hospital.
Preceded in death by husband David D. Mooney. Survived by sons, Donovan (Amy), Riverside, Illinois, and William (Michele), Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, James-David, Benjamin, Burke, Elizabeth and Cecelia; fiance, Dr. Thomas Mori; and brother, The Rev. David Donovan (Katy), Evanston, Illinois.
Sue was born on Easter Sunday in 1943 and raised in Delaware County and graduated from Delaware Willis High School, 1961, and OSU School of Nursing, 1965. Sue's ever-compassionate heart and desire to help people were seen through her work as a Public Health Nurse for the city of Columbus, Faith Community Nurse at Overbrook Presbyterian Church and various parish nurse and health ministry activities locally, regionally and nationally through The Presbyterian Church.
Sue touched many people and causes in her community through volunteer work for League of Women Voters, OPRS Foundation, James Thurber House, Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center, Columbus City Schools and Westminster Thurber. Sue's selflessness was evident to all those around her. No matter what she was doing or how she was feeling, helping others gave her the greatest joy. Her warm voice, smile, spirit and care are an inspiration to all those who are blessed to have known her.
Friends may call at Overbrook Presbyterian Church, 4131 N. High Street, Friday, October 21 from 6-8 p.m., where Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 22 at 2 p.m. Private inurnment. Donald E. Robinson
(April 3, 1942 - August 17, 2011)
Donald E. Robinson, 69, of Delaware, died Wednesday (Aug. 17, 2011) in Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 3, 1942 in Marion to Helen Ruth (Stithem) and Richard Robinson. He graduated from Willis High School in 1961 and lived most of his lifetime in Delaware. Don retired in 2008 after 41 years with PPG Industries, Inc. and was co-owner of Robinson’s Flower Shop. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Don was a highly accomplished and honored martial artist. A 7th degree Master, he instructed hundreds of students in the Delaware area. His life was his family. He loved God and his church.
Don is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley; a daughter, Dodie (Danny) Robinson-Shaw of Cardington; a son, Dean (Marah) of Delaware; five grandchildren, Drew, Shandee, Drake, Salena and Jayden; a brother, James of Florida; brothers-in-law, Bill (Carole) Piper, Scott (Emmalee) Eagon and Rodney Eagon; and his special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donald E., Jr. “Robbie”; and a brother, Barry.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 230 Hayes St., Delaware, where the funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Wayne Keith officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Barbara A. Karshner
(April 27, 1943 - February 11, 2011)
Barbara A. Karshner, 67, of Ashley, died Friday (Feb. 11, 2011) in Dublin Methodist Hospital.
She was born April 27, 1943 in Delaware to Edward and Ruth (Burdette) Yant. She graduated from Willis High School in 1961 and was a lifetime resident of Delaware County. Barbara was a retired employee of Proprietors Insurance Company.
She is survived by four sons, John (Janet) of Ashley, Pat (Becky) of Ostrander, Mike (Beth) of Belle Center and Ted of Delaware; three grandchildren, Brooke, Tony and Jessi Karshner; and two brothers, Bill and Jim Yant of Delaware.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 2006.
There will be a service held for family. There will be a service at 1 p.m. Sunday at the home of John Karshner, 2466 Ohio 229, Ashley. Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
William ‘Gary’ Berry
(August 9, 1942 - September 29, 2010)
William “Gary” Berry, 68, of Delaware passed away early Wednesday morning (Sept. 29, 2010) at his residence following a heroic battle with cancer.
He was born Aug. 9, 1942 in Delaware to Randall “Jesse” and Nellie (Bennett) Berry. Gary was a graduate of Willis High School, Class of 1961. He received his architectural degree from the Ohio State University and was a Vietnam Army Veteran. A lifelong Delaware resident, he was a former commander for AmVets Post 102, enjoyed gardening and loved being a grandpa.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie; four daughters, Lynette (Don) Davis of Cardington, Kimberly (John) Yekel of Lewis Center, Jennifer (Jake) Riffle of Ashley and Alex (Jeff) Elliott of Kenton; a son, Timmothy (Marci) of Delaware; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandsons; a brother, Randall (Debra) of Richmond, Va.; and a sister, Linda (James) Jones of Delaware.
He was preceded in death by his parents earlier this year and a granddaughter, Maddison Ann Berry, in 2000.
Graveside funeral services with military honors provided by the Delaware County Veterans Service Organization will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, in Veterans West in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will then receive friends at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until service time at 7 p.m.

Rev. Dr. Kenneth O. Brown
(March 5, 1943 - June 29, 2009)
Kenneth O. Brown, Ph.D., 66, of South Pine Street, Hazleton, died early Monday at the Emergency Room of Hazleton General Hospital.
Born in Chicago, IL, a son of the late Kenneth and Betty (Bennett) Brown, he spent his early years in Delaware, OH and resided in Hazleton since 1989.
In 1966, Ken earned a Bachelor of Theology degree at Circleville Bible College in Circleville, OH. He continued his education and earned a Masters in Divinity degree at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY in 1976, and later, in 1988, was awarded a Ph.D. in Methodist Studies from Drew University in Madison, NJ.
Ken began preaching at age 18, and filled his first pastorate just one year later. He has actively served as pastor and Bible teacher since 1965 and has spoken at churches, camp meetings and conventions in over a dozen states.
He served three years as professor of Youth and Pastoral Ministries at Vennard College in University Park, Iowa, and served as adjunct professor at United Wesleyan College in Allentown.
Over the years, he has served as pastor of United Methodist parishes in Ohio, Indiana, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Dr. Brown was currently working as an independent researcher and writer. In 1977 he founded Holiness Archives, a publishing enterprise devoted to research of camp meetings, through which he authored and published 10 books.
As one of only a handful of nationally recognized authorities on camp meetings and the Holiness Movement, Ken regularly wrote articles for many religious periodicals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank “Butch” Brown; and his ex-wife, Charlotte E. (Strouse) Brown, whom he cared for until her death in 2001.
Surviving are his fiancée, LuAnn Seasholtz Boock, with whom he shared 14 years; sons, Jonathan and Nathan Brown; 2 grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Brown; and niece, Dorothy and nephew, Joey Brown who were being cared for by Ken in his home.
No viewing or service is presently planned. However a memorial service is being considered for a future date.
Sharon Geesman Ream
(January 18, 1943 - July 2, 2008)
Sharon J. Ream, 65, of San Luis Obispo passed away Wednesday morning, July 2, 2008, at French Hospital after a shockingly brief fight with cancer.
Sharon was born in Fairfield, Conn., in 1943 and raised in Delaware, Ohio. She attended Bowling Green State University and Ohio Wesleyan University before landing in San Diego in 1965. Moving to the Central Coast in 1972, she remained a San Luis Obispo resident the rest of her life.
Sharon enjoyed a career in cosmetology having owned the Grateful Head Hair Salon for several years. She enjoyed traveling, reading and was a devoted cat lover. As an active member in the San Luis Ski Club, Sharon made many dear friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Callie; son, Jud; daughter-in-law, Mandy; and grandson Grayden.
A small informal gathering will be held in her honor at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at the Avila Pier. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of San Luis Obispo.

John Michael Casey
(May 2, 1943 - June 5, 2008)
John Michael Casey, 65, of Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008. He was born May 2, 1943, in Delaware, Ohio, and was a 39 year resident of Nevada. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He first came to Las Vegas as a Marine assigned to Nellis Air Force Base, and fell in love with the town. After the Marines, he soon returned from Ohio in 1968 with a brand new wife and baby. "Casey," as he was known to many of his friends, worked as a bartender for 37 years, working at the Las Vegas Hilton, Circus Circus, and the Excalibur. He privately bartended for both Elvis and Liberace. Everyone he met walked away feeling like a best friend and VIP. His family was his top priority, and he followed his personal creed that, "we do as a family, or not at all." Casey is survived by his parents, Frederick and Marjorie Kidwell; wife, May; sons, Casino and Dominick; daughter, Lisa; brother, Lincoln; and seven grandchildren. His family is having a private service.
